What separates it from the standard offer of other island restaurants is its diversity. Considering that Vis and Biševo had been isolated for years from the majority of tourist destinations, they managed to preserve their gastronomic authenticity. The unique microclimate, rich and fertile fields and one of the most abundant fishing areas in central Adriatic are a guarantee of food quality and diversity.

The simplistic manner of preparation of fresh seasonal produce as a signature of Dalmatian cuisine turns into art on Vis island and its surroundings – grilled sardines, freshly caught grilled calamari, grilled tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini.

We recommend various aperitifs – liqueurs made of fruits grown in pristine Mediterranean nature, as well as sweet Rogačica brandy made of carobs.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”align-center”][vc_column offset=”vc_col-lg-8 vc_col-md-8″ css=”.vc_custom_1617197869899{padding-right: 2vh !important;}”][vc_column_text animation=”animation fade-in”]DELICACIES OF BIŠEVO AREA

You can enjoy specialities of Vis and Biševo area in the pleasant surroundings of our restaurant, prepared in line with traditional recipes and made of the finest ingredients. Pogača is a type of salty cake prepared of yeast dough, salted sardines or anchovies and the delicious dressing made of tomatoes, shallots and fresh herbs. Komiška pogača differs from viška pogača, as komiška contains tomatoes, while the pogača from Vis, town traditionally dedicated to vineyards and olive groves, is made without the tomatoes. The legend says that the speciality has been made on the island since ancient times, when the seafarers still did not bring tomato as a species to Vis, so pogača was made in a more simple but equally tasty manner.

Both viška and komiška pogača are most delicious in summer, when all the ingredients are available in gardens, fresh, delicious and perfect.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”align-center”][vc_column offset=”vc_col-lg-8 vc_col-md-8″ css=”.vc_custom_1617197869899{padding-right: 2vh !important;}”][vc_column_text animation=”animation fade-in”]DELICACIES OF BIŠEVO AREA

You can enjoy specialities of Vis and Biševo area in the pleasant surroundings of our restaurant, prepared in line with traditional recipes and made of the finest ingredients. They comprise the oldest grape variety plavac mali, tasting similarly to almonds, as well as honey-like vugava, famous sort of rich white wine.

The autochthonous Croatian grape variety plavac mali is the most important variety of the central and south Dalmatia. As it is strong, it is often called “the wild wine”. Its special taste comes from the aeolian sand, the high-quality substrate it thrives on. The Plavac Mali wine is the first wine to receive the protected geographical indication in the Republic of Croatia.

Take a break in our restaurant and enjoy the intact nature and Mediterranean tastes![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row thb_full_width=”true” thb_row_padding=”true” thb_column_padding=”true” content_placement=”middle” thb_scroll_bottom=”true” thb_scroll_bottom_style=”style3″ thb_scroll_bottom_color=”light” thb_shape_divider=”true” css=”.vc_custom_1624526931237{padding-top: 30vh !important;padding-bottom: 25vh !important;background-image: url(https://bluecave-bisevo.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/restoran-2.jpg?id=430) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}” divider_shape=”triangle” thb_divider_color=”#ffffff”][vc_column thb_color=”thb-light-column”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner offset=”vc_col-lg-8 vc_col-md-8″][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”align-center”][vc_column offset=”vc_col-lg-8 vc_col-md-8″ css=”.vc_custom_1617197869899{padding-right: 2vh !important;}”][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][vc_column_text animation=”animation fade-in”]The area of Vis and Biševo is specific in many ways, including its gastronomy.
